Pumpkin Duck

I am having an absolutely brilliant day. First thing this morning I wrote 1200 words on my story, which is great as the end of last week were really hard work. Then I had my yoga lesson and out to lunch. We  went to ‘Solnaum’, on the road to the black pebble beach, which specialises in pumpkin duck, which you have to order in advance and one pumpkin serves four people.

It is an unprepossessing building, with amazing food.

You really would drive right past without giving it a second glance.

The table was already set out with all the side dishes: kimchi, sesame leaves, pickled radish, salad, eggs, tofu, chilli sauce, jelly fish (the bright yellow one and yes,  I did try it)…

And then in came the main attraction.

Inside these blacked pumpkins is the most delicious duck I have ever tasted.

I am not a huge pumpkin fan,but cooked this was it was simply divine, and the smell, mmmm. And here is another picture to tease you with:

I think this was the best food I have eaten here and as you can see in the next picture, there wasn’t much left over!
