Picking our Christmas tree

We have never had a real tree before, we have always had a plastic one that Richard and I brought our first Christmas as a married couple, making our tree 13 years old. It is a well travelled tree, it was brought in Glasgow, been to Azerbaijan, Aberdeen, Singapore, Ulsan and now Hampshire. Where it will stay in the attic this year.

So we were all full of Christmas spirit when we went to pick our tree.IMG_1706I thought we might look at a couple of trees and see which one we liked, but I forgotten how decisive my husband could be. He looked  at this one and decided that it was the one for us! I was only just quick enough with the camera before the tree was whisked away to be netted up.

IMG_1709Gregor had a couple of friends round that afternoon so we had 4 children decorating the tree, and we have pretty much left it as they decorated it with only a little bit of spreading out the decorations.

Nice to see Richard hard at work…. We went with Phil & Nigel + Grandkids to get our tree yesterday… Very similar decorating style. Must a universal children’s thing.
