Our climbing frame is finished

We should have brought one with us in our shipment, but as we didn’t know what house we would have or how big the garden was we decided against it. We have been promising the kids one for ages and they were not going to let me forget that promise.

So I asked around and was given the number of Gary, who also works as a family driver here on Stonepay, who is also a carpenter. He came round and we discussed what I wanted, which was swings and monkey bars. Then Katrine wanted a platform so that was added to the design as well.

The climbing frame has taken 2 weeks to build, which I am really impressed with as he is building it completely from scratch, no pre-cut pieces of wood in a kit available here! And he is fitting in building this with his regular work.

It has been very well tested over the last couple of days. The tyre swing is proving to be very popular as it climbing on top of the monkey bars.

Katrine and Gregor are very pleased with it, and so am I – I have had a go, only to test it out of course!
